Baby Maker - Privacy Policy

Sushmita Kumari ("we", "our", "us") operates the Baby Maker mobile application and related websites (the "Service"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have.

By downloading or using Baby Maker, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

In Short: How Your Photos Are Handled

Baby Maker lets you upload photos to generate a fun, AI-predicted baby image. To do this, the photos you choose are sent to our secure servers and then to trusted third-party AI providers (Replicate and OpenRouter) only to create your result. We ask for your clear, in-app consent before any photo leaves your device. We never use your photos to train AI models, and we never use them for advertising. Photos are deleted after processing. Full details are in Section 3.

1. Information We Collect

a) Information You Provide Directly

Photos & Facial Features. When you use the app, you may voluntarily select or capture photos using your device camera or photo library. Our app uses artificial intelligence to analyze the facial features in the selected photos to generate a simulated baby prediction. Because this processing is too heavy for a phone, the selected photos are securely transmitted to our servers and to our AI providers for temporary processing (see Section 3).

Support Requests. If you contact us by email or a support form, we may collect your email address and any information you choose to share, only to respond to your request.

Purchases. Baby Maker offers subscriptions and in-app purchases. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. We may receive your purchase and subscription status so we can unlock premium features.

b) Information Collected Automatically

We may automatically collect non-personal usage and device data, such as:

• Device type and model
• Operating system and version
• Device identifiers and advertising identifiers
• App usage statistics and interactions
• Crash logs and performance data
• Approximate region and audience size estimates
• General usage patterns

This data helps us improve the app's stability, performance, functionality, and user experience. It is collected through Firebase and Appodeal (see Section 4).

c) Cookies, Local Storage & Similar Technologies

On our website and in some parts of the Service, we use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies strictly for authentication, security, core functionality, performance monitoring, and remembering your preferences. Session cookies expire when you close the app or website. We do not use these technologies for unauthorized tracking.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
• Generate the AI baby prediction you request
• Improve app stability, performance, functionality, and personalization
• Analyze usage patterns and audience behavior
• Process and manage your subscriptions and in-app purchases
• Send service updates and notifications (with your consent where required)

3. Artificial Intelligence & Photo / Face Data Processing

This section explains exactly how your photos are processed by AI. It is the most important part of this policy.

a) Explicit Consent Before Any Photo Leaves Your Device

Before your selected photos are uploaded, the app shows a clear, in-app notice that explains:

• That your selected photos will be sent to third-party AI providers (Replicate and OpenRouter) for processing.
• That the photos contain facial features needed for the AI to generate the baby prediction.
• That this processing is required to produce your requested result.

You must affirmatively agree before any photo is transmitted from your device. If you decline, no photo is uploaded and the AI feature is simply not used.

b) What Data Is Processed

Only the specific photos you explicitly select (for example, photos of the two parents) are processed. We do not scan your photo library or upload anything you did not choose.

c) How the Data Is Processed and Who Receives It

Your selected photos are first sent to our own secure servers, and are then transmitted to our trusted third-party AI providers strictly to generate the image:

These providers process your photos only to perform the image generation on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy policies to protect your data.

d) Strict Usage Restrictions

Your photos are used strictly and solely to generate the baby prediction you requested. We do not use your photos to train generalized AI models, and we do not permit our AI providers to use your photos to train their models. Your photos and facial data are never used for advertising, marketing, biometric identification, authentication, or profiling. We do not create faceprints or other biometric identifiers, and we never share your photos or facial data with advertising or analytics partners.

e) Retention and Deletion

Images are processed ephemerally and are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers and our AI providers' servers immediately after the generation process completes. In limited technical circumstances, temporary encrypted cache backups may exist for system stability or rollback protection; such cached data is automatically deleted within a maximum of 24 hours.

4. Analytics, Advertising & Push Notifications

We use third-party services to keep the app free or low-cost, understand performance, and show ads.

Analytics

We use Firebase (including Google Analytics for Firebase and Crashlytics) to measure app performance and diagnose crashes. See Google/Firebase privacy information at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy and terms at https://firebase.google.com/terms.

Advertising

We use Appodeal for advertising and ad mediation. See their Privacy Policy at https://appodeal.com/privacy-policy/ and Terms at https://appodeal.com/terms-of-service/. These services may collect device identifiers, IP address, and usage data in line with their own policies.

Apple App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

On iOS, we ask for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before we track you or use your device's advertising identifier across apps and websites owned by other companies. If you do not allow tracking, we will not track you in that way.

Ad Personalization and Consent

In the European Union, United Kingdom, and other regions where required, we request your consent and show non-personalized ads unless you agree to personalized ads. In other regions, ads may be personalized as permitted by law.

Push Notifications

With your consent, we may send push notifications for service updates, feature announcements, and relevant messages. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

Strict Data Separation

Advertising and analytics partners never receive your uploaded photos or facial data.

5. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We may share information in the following limited situations:

a) Service Providers

With trusted providers who help us run the Service, including hosting, our AI providers (Replicate and OpenRouter), analytics (Firebase / Google), advertising (Appodeal), and customer support. They are only permitted to use your data to provide services to us and are obligated to protect it.

b) Legal Reasons

To comply with the law, court orders, or valid government requests, and to enforce our rights or prevent fraud, abuse, or security threats.

c) Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

d) With Your Consent

When you explicitly ask us to or give permission to share.

e) Aggregated or Anonymized Data

We may share anonymized or aggregated information that does not identify you for analytics or research.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements. Uploaded photos are handled as described in Section 3. You can ask us to delete your personal data by emailing [email protected].

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit, to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Social Sharing

If you choose to share your result to a social or messaging app (for example Instagram, WhatsApp, or Facebook), that sharing is handled by that app under its own terms. We do not collect your social profile unless you explicitly connect an account, in which case we may receive basic profile information (such as name, email, profile picture, or user ID) used only to provide that feature. You can ask us to delete this at any time.

9. Your Privacy Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data
• Withdraw consent you previously gave
• Opt out of marketing communications
• Disable personalized advertising (where legally applicable)
• Request a copy of your data (data portability)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights under the GDPR, including the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, to delete, and to opt out of the "sale" of personal information (we do not sell your data), without discrimination for exercising these rights.

10. Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Baby Maker is meant to be used with the involvement of an adult, and children should only use it with a parent or guardian's permission and supervision. We do not knowingly serve personalized, child-directed ads to children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

11. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including where our servers and service providers (such as Replicate, OpenRouter, Google/Firebase, and Appodeal) operate. These countries may have data protection laws different from those in your country. We take steps to protect your information consistent with this Privacy Policy.

12. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that we do not control. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their policies independently.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through app updates or website notices. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
