Repost Deleter - Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 25, 2026

Sushmita Kumari ("we", "our", "us") is an independent app developer based in India and makes the Repost Deleter mobile application for iPhone and iPad (the "App"). In some languages the App is shown under a translated name: Repost Remover, Borrar Compartidos, or Repost löschen. It is the same App, and this policy covers all of them.

The App helps you find the Reposts and Likes on your own TikTok account and remove the ones you choose. This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, what information the App handles, what stays on your device, what leaves it, who else is involved, how long it is kept, and what choices you have.

The App is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok or ByteDance.

In Short

  • You do not create an account with us. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number, or home address.
  • You log in on TikTok's own login page. We never see or store your TikTok password.
  • Your TikTok login, your list of Reposts and Likes, and your removal history stay on your device. The App talks to TikTok directly from your device. Your TikTok data does not pass through our servers.
  • To fix bugs and improve the App, we collect anonymous usage, crash, and performance data through Google Firebase. It never includes your TikTok username, your videos, or your password.
  • Invite codes work with a random ID that the App creates. That ID is not your name, not your TikTok account, and not your device's hardware ID.
  • The App has no ads. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell your personal information.

1. Your TikTok Account

To clean your profile, the App needs you to log in to TikTok. This is how it works:

  • Login happens on TikTok's page. The App opens TikTok's own login page inside the App, or hands you over to the TikTok app if you choose that option there. You type your details into TikTok, not into us. The App does not read, save, or send your password.
  • Your login stays on your device. After you log in, TikTok gives your device a login session (cookies), the same way a web browser keeps you logged in. iOS keeps it in the App's private storage on your device. It is never sent to us.
  • What the App reads from TikTok. To show you who is logged in, the App reads your TikTok username, display name, profile photo, and basic profile counts (for example, how many videos you have). To do its job, it reads your list of Reposts and Likes: the video link, cover image, caption, and creator name of each one.
  • What the App changes on TikTok. Only what you ask it to: it removes the Reposts and Likes that you select. It does not post, follow, comment, send messages, or change anything else on your account.
  • Direct connection. Every request goes straight from your device to TikTok's servers, and video cover images load straight from TikTok. TikTok handles that information under its own privacy policy.

2. Information That Stays on Your Device

The following is saved only on your device. It is not sent to us, and we have no way to read it:

  • Your TikTok login session, described in Section 1.
  • The TikTok username, display name, profile photo, and profile counts of the connected account.
  • The lists of Reposts and Likes the App found, and any cleanup you paused so you can finish it later.
  • Your removal history: for each item, the video link, creator name, date, and whether the removal worked.
  • Your settings, such as filters, app language, and notification choices.
  • A count of how many removals you made recently, so the App can apply the daily limit and keep a safe pace for your account.
  • A cache of video cover images, so lists load faster.

Stored in the iOS Keychain. Two small items are kept in your device's Keychain, which is iOS's secure storage: the random ID used for invite codes (Section 3b), and today's removal count. iOS usually keeps Keychain items even after an app is deleted. This is on purpose: if you reinstall the App, you keep your invite code and the friends you invited, and the daily limit cannot be reset by reinstalling. Neither item contains your name, your TikTok account, or any content.

3. Information That Leaves Your Device

a) Anonymous usage, crash, and performance data (Google Firebase)

We use three Firebase tools by Google: Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Crashlytics, and Firebase Performance Monitoring. They help us see which features are used, find crashes, and keep the App fast. They collect:

  • How the App is used: which screens are opened and which features are used, for example that a scan finished or a cleanup started. These events carry numbers and simple labels only, such as how many items were found, removed, or failed, how long it took, and the type of any error.
  • Simple settings: the language the App is shown in, whether notifications are on, whether a TikTok account is connected (only yes or no, never which account), your plan (free or which Pro plan), and how many friends used your invite code.
  • Purchase events: which Pro plan was chosen and whether the purchase went through, was cancelled, or failed. Never your card or payment details.
  • Crash reports: technical details from the moment the App crashed or hit a serious error, such as the code location and device state.
  • Performance data: how fast the App starts, how long key steps take, and the timing of requests to our own invite server. Performance Monitoring is set to measure only our own server, never TikTok addresses.
  • Device information: device model, iOS version, app version, and language and region settings.
  • Approximate location: Google works out your country or region from your IP address. We never ask for or use your precise location.
  • Random Firebase IDs: Firebase creates random IDs for each installation of the App, so it can count users and group crash reports.

What is never sent to Firebase: your TikTok username, handle, or account ID, your video links or captions, the creators you reposted or liked, your invite code, your password, and your name or email. We have also switched off the advertising features of Firebase: the App does not collect Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) or the vendor identifier (IDFV), and this data is not used for advertising.

See Firebase privacy information and Google's Privacy Policy.

b) Invite codes (our invite server)

The App lets you invite friends with a short code. To make this work, the App talks to a small server we run on Cloudflare. This server stores only:

  • A random ID that the App creates on your device the first time it runs. It is not made from your TikTok account, your name, or your device's hardware.
  • Your own invite code, and the date it was created.
  • If you entered a friend's code: which code you entered, and the date.
  • Whether you have finished a cleanup in the App (only yes or no). This is how the server decides that an invite is real.

The server does not store your TikTok account, username, email, IP address, or device details. Like any server on the internet, it receives your IP address to send back an answer. We use it only for a moment to block abuse, such as too many requests at once, and we do not save it. The server's answer also carries a speed setting that tells the App how fast to send requests to TikTok. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

c) Purchases

The App offers optional Pro plans. Apple handles all payments through the App Store. We never receive or store your card details, billing address, or Apple Account password. The App receives your purchase status from Apple so that Pro can be turned on, and purchase events are counted in Firebase as described above. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

d) Support emails

If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and whatever you write. When you use "Contact us" in the App, the new email already contains the App's name and version and your iOS version, so we can help faster. You can delete that before sending. We use your email only to reply to you.

e) Things you choose to share

You can share a summary card of your cleanup, an invite message, or export your removal history as a file. This only happens when you tap share, and it goes only where you choose to send it, through the iOS share sheet. We do not receive a copy. A history file contains video links and creator names, so please share it with care.

4. What We Do Not Collect

  • Your TikTok password or other login details
  • Your TikTok username, handle, or account ID on any of our servers
  • Your videos, messages, drafts, or private content
  • Your name, email address (unless you email us), phone number, or home address
  • Your precise location, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone
  • Your advertising identifier (IDFA)

5. Device Permissions

The App asks for only one permission, and it is optional:

  • Notifications. To tell you when your free removals are back, when a cleanup is paused, and to remind you to check your profile. These notifications are created on your device. We do not run a notification server and we do not collect a notification token. You can turn them off in the App's Settings or in Settings > Notifications on your device.

The App does not ask for access to your camera, microphone, photos, contacts, or location. It does not show Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, because it does not track you.

6. How We Use Information

  • To run the App: find and remove the Reposts and Likes you choose
  • To apply the daily limit and keep a safe pace for your TikTok account
  • To run invite codes and give invite rewards, and to stop fake invites
  • To turn on Pro after a purchase, and to restore purchases
  • To find and fix crashes and errors, and to keep the App fast
  • To understand which features are used, so we can decide what to improve
  • To send the notifications you allowed
  • To answer your emails
  • To protect the App and our server from abuse, and to follow the law

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build a profile of you. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on these legal bases: providing the App you asked for (contract), our legitimate interest in keeping the App working, secure, and improving (analytics, crash reports, abuse prevention), and your consent (notifications, which you can withdraw at any time).

7. Who We Share Information With

We share information only with these service providers, and only the data each one needs to do its job for us:

  • Google (Firebase): anonymous usage, crash, and performance data, as described in Section 3a.
  • Cloudflare: hosting for our invite server, as described in Section 3b.
  • Apple: payments, subscriptions, and restoring purchases.

We confirm that each of these providers is bound by its terms with us to protect your data, and provides the same or equal protection of user data as described in this Privacy Policy.

About TikTok: TikTok is not our service provider. When the App talks to TikTok, it is your own device using your own TikTok account, and TikTok's own terms and privacy policy apply to what TikTok receives. We do not send TikTok any information about you beyond the normal requests needed to list and remove the items you chose.

We may also share information if the law requires it (for example, a valid court order), to protect the rights and safety of our users or ourselves, or as part of a sale or transfer of the App, in which case this policy continues to apply until it is replaced.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

8. How Long Data Is Kept

  • On your device: until you delete it in the App (Section 9) or delete the App. The two Keychain items described in Section 2 may stay on your device after the App is deleted.
  • Invite server: for as long as the invite feature runs, so your code and your friends keep working. If you ask us, we delete it sooner (Section 9). If we end the invite feature, we delete this data.
  • Firebase: Google deletes this data automatically. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months, crash reports for about 90 days, and performance data for about 30 to 60 days.
  • Support emails: only as long as needed to help you and keep a basic record of the conversation.

9. Your Choices and Rights

You can do most things yourself, at any time, inside the App:

  • Delete my data (in the App's Settings): deletes your removal history, filters, and saved login from your device, and logs you out of TikTok in the App. Nothing on your TikTok account is changed.
  • Log out (in the App's Settings): removes the TikTok login from the App. Your history is kept.
  • Clear history (in the History screen): deletes the App's list of removals.
  • Notifications: turn them off in the App's Settings or in your device settings.
  • Stop all data collection: delete the App. Nothing more is collected after that.

Deleting data on our invite server: email us your invite code and ask us to delete your data. You can see your code on the App's invite screen, when that option is shown to you. We will delete your code and invite records within 30 days, and after that the random ID on your device is no longer connected to anything. The server holds only random IDs and codes, with nothing that names you, so your code is the only way we can find your records. If you cannot see a code (for example, the invite option is not shown to Pro users), we have no way to connect any record to you.

Firebase data: this data is not linked to your name, email, or TikTok account, so we cannot find one person's records in it. It is deleted automatically, as described in Section 8.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to get a copy of it, to object to or limit how it is used, and to withdraw consent. This includes rights under the GDPR in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. We will never treat you differently for using your rights. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

To make a request or ask a question, email [email protected]. We reply within 30 days.

10. Children

The App is not made for children. TikTok itself requires users to be at least 13, so the App is meant for people who are 13 or older, or the minimum age to use TikTok where they live. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.

11. Security

All data the App sends travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Your TikTok login and your history stay in the App's private storage, which iOS protects from other apps, and the two small Keychain items use iOS's secure storage. Our invite server stores no names, no TikTok accounts, and no contact details. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the limited data we handle.

12. International Transfers

We are based in India. Google and Cloudflare may process the data described here on servers in other countries, including the United States. These countries may have different data protection laws. We use providers that protect this data as described in this policy wherever it is processed.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App changes or the law requires it. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version. If a change is important, we will make it clear in the App or on this page.

14. Contact Us
